After a 30-year career as a Navy Commander, Geoff McGinley wanted to begin the next phase of his life in a non-traditional home.

What initially began as a project to design and build his forever home quickly evolved into a bigger mission; how could he help other Australians who also wanted this lifestyle to achieve it? As home ownership declines, entire generations are being locked out of the housing market as rental prices climb. How could these people also access a secure, comfortable home able to adapt to their needs? Geoff knew there was a better, more equitable solution; he just needed to build it first.

As someone who’s always challenged the status quo, doing what’s expected wasn’t an option for Geoff, he wanted to live in an adaptable home close to nature without the strings of a 30-year mortgage.
