We build homes that adapt to how people actually want to live.
Adapt Homes designs and delivers high-quality Not-So-Tiny Houses on Wheels from our workshop and display house in Fyshwick. Our range runs from the 14m² Bilby to the 40m² Kookaburra — mobile, modular, and built to strike the balance between conventional and tiny-house living.
We're a small, values-driven team. The people who come to us are often downsizing, helping a parent move closer, or finally building the life they've been planning for years. Those conversations matter, and they deserve someone good on the other end of them.
That's the job.
Great homes need great communicators.
This is a full-time position, though we're genuinely open to part-time for the right person.
You'll work across our display house on Dairy Road, from home, and at the occasional trade show, expo or market. Weekend events come up a few times a year — always planned well in advance, with time in lieu or penalty rates in line with our policy.
- Answer the phone like you mean itBe the warm first point of contact for enquiries by phone, email and CRM, with every enquiry tracked and followed up.
- Keep the pipeline movingBook display visits and consultations, prepare quotes and sales documents, and keep records accurate.
- Walk people through itHelp prospective clients understand our homes, the options available, and what happens at each stage of the process.
- Show up and represent usMeet people face to face at the display house and at trade and market events around the region.
- Make the process betterPitch in on sales admin and help us improve how we work as we grow.
You don't need to have sold a house on wheels before.
- Genuine warmth with people — especially older Australians and their families working through a significant decision together.
- Strong written and spoken communication, and follow-through people can rely on.
- Comfortable with CRMs and digital tools, or quick to pick them up.
- Experience in sales, customer service or admin is valued, though we care more about how you are with people.
- Curious about tiny homes, sustainable living, or how well-designed small spaces work.
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel occasionally for events.
- Canberra-based — this role needs someone who can be at the display house regularly.
A small team where the work is visibly yours.
Real flexibility
Hours and working arrangements we'll shape around your life, not the other way around. Part-time is genuinely on the table.
Variety, not a desk
Some days at the display house with clients in front of you, some at home getting through the detail, some at a market with a coffee in hand.
Your work shapes it
We're small enough that how you handle a first phone call becomes how Adapt Homes feels to every client after that.
Send us a CV and tell us about yourself.
- Email your CV to recruitment@adapt.homes.
- Add a short note — half a page is plenty — on why this role interests you.
- Use the subject line Client Liaison Officer so it reaches the right person.
We read every application and will be in touch either way.
Adapt Homes is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, and we're happy to adjust any part of our process — just let us know what would help.
